[edit] WikiTex in mediaWiki

Is the current state of affairs that WikiTex is not incorporated into mediaWiki 1.4? Please could you add information on how to add WikiTex to a mediaWiki (or how to make sure that it functions if it has already been added to mediaWiki). I would personally like advice on how to implement it for a Windows machine. I am setting up a "knowledgebase" for structural engineering in my firm and would love to be able to show equations and plots using WikiTex. Thanks! Andrew

The requisite utilities (LaTeX, Gnuplot, ImageMagick, dvipng) do indeed have native Windows ports, so you may be able to run WikiTeX without more ado; WikiTeX also depends on a bash interpreter, however, which is provided by Cygwin.
If you have regular access to a Windows box, we'd be grateful for a status report. Danenberg 08:34, 29 May 2005 (CDT)
